Hello,
We thought there was going to be a long weekend but in the end Madrid has given no day off for the celebration of the Virgin of Pilar. So, no CCD on Sunday but we still have many other things going on.
There will be a Food collection for the struggling parishioners of our parish. Always needed: Rice, milk, juice, canned meats and tuna, canned vegetables and sunflower oil.
On Sunday: Gift, our youngest usher celebrates her 18th birthday! Her mother Lillian is very proud of her and hopes you will greet her!
The OLM Young Adult group is up and running and the topic for this upcoming Sunday is “The Role of the Young Adult in the Church” If you are interested, please see Angelina in the coffee room after Mass.
We have the full choir as always. A big thanks to everyone who came and prayed with Julie and Manuel at José Manuel’s funeral. The choir was exceptional.
I hope to see you on Sunday, be blessed,
Fr. Ron
Hindsight is 20:20:
Soon after our last child left home for college, my husband was resting next to me on the couch with his head in my lap. I carefully removed his glasses.
“You know, honey,” I said sweetly, “without your glasses, you look like the same handsome young man I married.”
“Honey,” he replied with a grin, “without my glasses, you still look pretty good too!”
